Nine GMAT Study Tips

Is your child prepared for school admission tests? Test prep tutoring can help!

Marks Education tutors help students excel on standardized tests, including the ACT, SAT, PSAT, SSAT, ISEE, and HSPT.

In recent years, admission to top private and parochial schools has become more selective. Scores on tests such as the SSAT, ISEE, and HSPT are more important than ever.

Yet most students in elementary and middle school have had little experience with long, high-stakes standardized tests. We applaud schools’ focus on other assessment methods, but this can leave students underprepared for school admission testing. In addition, the SSAT, ISEE, and HSPT are different from most tests students see in school; many questions have tricky wording, unfamiliar formats, and obscure material.

Because admission tests for middle and secondary school may be a student’s first experience with high-stakes testing, we urge parents to schedule a free practice test and complimentary 30-minute consultation with a tutor. We want students to gain confidence at this age, so they can face later tests with the skills, strategies, and optimism they will need to excel.

Preparation and planning are essential for students taking the SSAT, ISEE, and HSPT. Our tutors will help you come up with the best plan for your child’s learning style and admission goals.
