Ryan Blodgett became a full-time tutor at Marks Education in 2014. Prior to working as a tutor, Ryan attended and graduated from Harvard Law School and worked in the legal field with a focus on antitrust and constitutional law.  His long history in rigorous academic environments strongly positions him to help students succeed on a number of exams and classes.

Ryan tutors the most tests and subjects of all Marks Education tutors!! He assists students with PSAT, SAT, and ACT preparation; LSAT, GRE, and GMAT preparation; and SSAT, ISEE, and HSTP preparation.  Ryan also provides academic support in Math (PreAlgebra, Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, PreCalculus, and Calculus), Economics, History, Government, and English classes, as well as support for a number of AP tests and classes: AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC, AP United States History, AP World History, AP Microeconomics, AP Macroeconomics, AP United States Government, AP Comparative Government, AP English Language, AP English Literature.

Ryan has helped students with starting scores in the bottom 1% all the way up to the top 1%, and everywhere in between. He is patient and enjoys helping students improve their confidence and manage stress through practicing techniques and strategies designed to diminish the impact of test anxiety. He is experienced in working with students with learning differences, including many who receive accommodations in school and on standardized tests. In addition to always encouraging his students to strive for their best possible scores and grades, Ryan believes that it is also crucial to ensure his students feel comfortable with all aspects of their exams and classes so that they can walk away feeling like they gave it their best.

The son of an English teacher and a History teacher, Ryan grew up in north Texas.  While in high school, he competed in debate (#1 top speaker in Texas) and got his first teaching experience working as a debate camp counselor and lab leader.  He has since lived in Boston, Cleveland, Denver, Miami, and now Buffalo, New York.  Outside of the office, Ryan enjoys cooking, playing board games, and spending time with his family.

Ryan has worked with students in a dozen time zones and is available to work virtually with students in the DC area and all over the world.
