Lance McNeil joined Marks Education in 2018 after having taught SAT and GMAT preparation courses at the University of San Diego for over three years. Lance’s familiarity with the nuances of the ACT and SAT puts students at ease. His grasp of the content tested on both tests helps students focus on learning/relearning principles/concepts key to test-day success, and his eye for using proven test-taking strategies on all sections of the ACT and SAT has helped countless students realize significant score improvements on these tests.
In addition to helping students prepare for the ACT, SAT, and GMAT, Lance tutors students in algebra I/II, geometry, precalculus, AP Calculus AB, and biology. His commitment to helping students master complex math concepts and operations, develop their quantitative reasoning skills and mathematical intuitions, and understand the underpinnings of various topics in mathematics has helped students achieve better results in their math coursework and on the math/quantitative sections of standardized tests.
Lance earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Pepperdine University. He later earned an MSc in Economic History, with distinction, from the London School of Economics.
In his spare time, Lance enjoys reading about economics and neuroscience, managing his fantasy baseball team, watching soccer, traveling, and taking classes through his local college/university.
