Thanks to the counseling and tutoring teams at Marks Education, our son was admitted Early Decision to a highly selective U.S. college, his first choice. The skilled professionals at Marks Education gave us tailored, comprehensive, strategic care and support throughout the grueling U.S. college application and admission process. Not only did our son dramatically boost his grades and test scores, but he also improved his study skills and overall confidence. He has just completed his freshman year in college, maintaining his excellent performance.

My husband and I offer heartfelt thanks to Nina Marks, Nitin Sawhney, and their excellent colleagues. Our son worked very hard to meet high standards, but there is no doubt that without their assistance, his application process might not have been as efficient, and the outcome might not have been as effective. Since 2004, Marks Education has worked to assist students across the U.S. and around the world with preparation for and admission to highly selective colleges. We are delighted to learn that they are now considering an exciting expansion into Hong Kong and mainland China. We hope others will, like our son and family, enjoy and benefit from working with their excellent counselors and tutors.

We give Marks Education our enthusiastic recommendation!
Having the opportunity to work with Nitin was a huge opportunity for my son. Even though his tutoring sessions were via conference call from his boarding school, he and Nitin had a wonderful relationship. We are all very fond of Nitin and hold him in the highest regard. Last, but not least, my son’s SAT scores improved dramatically, which put him within the reaches of the colleges and universities he wanted to attend. He was admitted to 4 out of 5 of the schools where he applied. I hope that your son or daughter will have the same opportunity!

Nitin is one of the best teachers ever. I was able to go from a 1620 PSAT score to 2250 SAT score under his guidance and assistance. I was also able to get a 760 on my Math II and a 650 on my Lit subject tests. Words aren’t enough to describe how happy I am with Nitin and Marks Education. All I can say is that you can’t go wrong with them. They will help you succeed because it is evident that they genuinely care.
Dan Bloss has been a thoughtful, earnest and kind guide for our son Zack’s exam prep for English, Math and Science. The fact that Dan and Zack connected so well made the important prep sessions a productive pleasure for all. We recommend Dan Bloss very strongly.
I worked with both Nitin Sawhney and Dan Bloss as I prepared to re-take the GMAT and cannot speak highly enough about the experience. Both possess an impressive command of the material and were able to show me more effective ways of approaching certain problem types. In addition, these guys know a lot about test taking strategy and the preparation process. That I was able to raise my GMAT score significantly over the first time was largely a result of their efforts. I would strongly recommend working with either Nitin or Dan.
Grier Buchanan, Washington, DC

I had a great time at the test prep classes. I really loved the environment.

At CDI/Marks Education everyone was trying to help one another and the environment was really friendly. I also was really comfortable with the instructors because they knew a lot about me. CDI/Marks Education test prep classes are different from other test prep classes because you actually have fun learning new things. CDI/Marks Education classes not only improved my scores, but I also loved the advice that my teachers gave us about eating well and getting enough sleep.

I think reading articles every week for the CDI/Marks Education test prep class was a great way to improve both vocabulary and reading comprehension and to practice focusing on something. The more you read, the faster you get at understanding a text.

It was a little hard for me to keep up with the readings in my Honors class at Loyola because they gave us all these upper-level texts and expected us to read them in a very short time and sometimes I really didn’t know what to do. The texts were so hard even for my classmates who had spoken English their entire lives. But, my time in CDI/Marks Education classes improved my reading skills a lot, and I don’t think that I would have been prepared for my Honors class readings without these improved skills.

Thank you so much for everything.
Aliyah Sadegh, Rockville, MD
I just wanted to say thank you for CDI/Marks Education. I just received my SAT score and my score went up by 90 points. Now I have a 2120; without CDI/Marks Education, I would not have been able to do this by myself. I just wanted to say thanks for everything.
Ahreum Han, Rockville, MD
The test prep at CDI/Marks Education not only helped me attain higher scores in the reading, writing, and math SAT, but it also helped me improve my English and Math skills in general. I was able to apply those skills and receive better grades in my high school courses. Furthermore, the test prep class also helped me review my knowledge of science courses like chemistry and biology. It really helped because I needed to study for the AP exams anyways, so the more the practice the better. Although this test prep may not directly affect my classes in college, I realized that by having higher AP scores it really saved me a lot of time not having to take the lower level courses. Instead, I was able to sign up for the courses that interest me.
Alan Buabuchaechart, Rockville, MD
I wanted to thank you so much for your work with me on the Math 2 Subject Test. I scored a 730 on the test and am very excited that I got that score. Thank you for your help! Enjoy your summer!
Julie Kwong, Rockville, MD
For me, tutoring with Mr. Sawhney and Mr. Chang was unlike any other tutoring course. I felt that the counselors had a full and sincere commitment to the individual. Personally, what I got from the tutors was a sense of inner confidence in knowing that someone believed I could perform better and was more capable than what was represented by the numeric score on the SAT. It was very easy to talk to the tutors and it was reassuring that they did everything possible to make sure we left the room without any doubt on the material discussed.
Yessenia Romero, Silver Spring, MD
